The Swiss Pfandbrief^® is unique in the world: “Swiss Made” instead of “Swiss Finish”

According to the Pfandbrief Act (PfA) Pfandbriefbank schweizerischer Hypothekarinstitute AG has the purpose, “…to arrange long-term mortgage loans at possibly constant and low interest rates for landowners.” Pfandbriefbank issues Swiss Pfandbriefe® and grants loans to its member banks from the proceeds against pledge of mortgage cover for the refinancing of the member banks mortgage transactions.
